Magnet App Reviews

206 Customer Reviews:

I made the switch to Apple after only using windows for 24 years. The biggest thing Imissed was the window snapping, and this app has helped fill the void. I’ve been using this app for nearly a month now with no complaints. Only one time did I have a problem where the app did not appear in the top right corner. I imagine this wasuser error, since that time I have had no issues.

Greatest little app on Mac - ALWAYS USED!!!

This has to be the single most used little app I have on all my Macs - I could not imagine functioning without it!

Fantastic app — does exactly what it’s supposed to.

As above!

Bought it because I thought it would be a quick way to clean up my desktop mess but it doesn’t support three of my most used programs in the adobe suite :(

App works exaclty as expected. It’s a great windows management app that simulates the native feature to Windows. It’s had a permanent spot in my Mac’s taskbar for the last two years and I don’t plan on switching or removing it any time soon.

Definitelly worth the $2 or however much it was. I use it every day, the keybindings are perfect. One problem, I found my Preview app lagging the first few seconds everytime I open it and use magnet. Other than that, perfect app.

Magnet is a great tool. However their insistance in getting me to evaluate their software was just interfering with my workflow. I cant remember another developer being so obtrusively and annoyingly asking for a review. A tool worth getting, nevertheless. I recommend it. There. Now I can get on with my work.

It just works ...

Application window resizing without taking over the toolbar or footer space is crucial to me. This app does it right!

Was lagey when I got it but they fixed it. The controls are interesting but you get used to them and it helps out a lot. I have used it at least 10 times just in the last hour on my laptop. Essential.

Amazing

This app works amazing. Use it on so many occasions and makes using multipule windows very easy. Highly recomend

I love this app and use it multiple times a day. My only wish is that the devs add a setting for a two-thirds and a one-third screen, rather than a 50-50 split. I need that lopsided arrangement much more than 50-50. Stil highly recommended!

Really Cool

Now I can finally stop wasting time trying to adjust the sizes of windows!! The shortcuts are really helpful :)

It is extremely easy to use. It really does help me keep my windows organized. I only wish that there are more arrangment layouts. My screen is rather small and sometimes I need a window to be larger than the other one so I don’t always need a 50:50 split. Overall really happy with it and I use it almost daily.

I use the features of the app many times a day. Its great for quickly organizing windows to work more effectively. I also request that the developers add a feature to split the windows by 1/3 and 2/3. Some windows need much less space than others.

Love Magnet! After upgrading to Sierra, there was an issue moving windows between multiple displays with CTRL+OPT+LEFT or RIGHT like I used to do. That’s fixed in the current version, so I have no issues now!

Ive been using window resizers for a long time. In this domain (Window resizers), Moom was the original and absolutely great until Yosemite came along and hijacked the fill screen button (and turned it into full screen). Its now much more difficult to get the window resizing you want out of Moom. In the meantime, an application called Spectacle came along for free which allows you to resize your windows to your taste based on keyboard shortcuts (the fastest way to deal with window resizing). Spectacle allows you to install it on any computer with no login, no registration and no payment. Works from 10.6.8 on (different versions). Code is open source on GitHub. Magnet is just an opportunity to pay for what is amazing and free (Spectacle).
