Magnet App Reviews

206 Customer Reviews:

As a college student, I am always needing multiple windows open at the same time. This app makes it SO much easier to instantly snap a window, no more time consuming manually dragging and resizing windows! Totally worth a buck (sale at the time of review).

Before Magnet I would messily put my files, assignments, and have chrome laid out everywhere on my screen because I had this need to see everything opened. My boyfriend acknlowdged my disorganized habit and introduced me to Magnet and I must say this is the most convenient app Ive ever purchased! I’m able to do a lot of assignments easily, for example I can use chrome on one half of the screen to read articles and on the other half Ill open up micorsoft word so I can look back into my article and write my essays without having to click back and forth. I also use the 3 split screen and would have chrome use my whole left half, then on the top right i would have my Reminders app opened and the bottom right I would have my calendar app opened. Overall this product is worth every penny, makes a difference, and is very efficient.

This is a really useful tool for quickly and efficiently getting your windows where you want them. There may be other apps that allow you tessalate your windows in more advanced ways, but this one does everything I need and does it simply, intuitively, and unobtrusively. When I’m using another computer without it, I quickly realize how much I rely on it.

This one is pretty dope. I was doing a lot of work with Excel and kept trying to manually organize my windows. Sure, you can do that sort of thing without an app, but why would you when there’s an app for that? Considering I don’t even remember what I paid for it—a good sign in and of it itself no doubt!—I’d say it’s worth every penny. If you do anything that requires more than one window open, I highly recommend giving this one a shot. Lowkey the best part: doesn’t need to stay in your Dock when running, decreasing clutter. And for quick access there’s an icon in the Status Menu.

Just works

Magnet is a nice little app that helps me keep my desktops organized. It works well and that’s all I need!

You should add in tiling as well as logic based grouping …. a user shouldnt be limited in how narrow or wide windows can be based off an apps preferences ….they’re called GITs and if you are going to charge $ for an app you should at least use what is available for free to overcome small issues like that

I bought this about a month ago and cant seem to believe why Apple hasnt included a feature like this yet. It has increased my productivity in a big way. I have yet to try it on dual monitors, but expect it to work just fine based on what I hear from other reviews. Great purchase!

I was initally quite skeptical of the need for this App, but it had great reviews and potentially seemed useful. I am really happy that I decided to purchase it!

This app definetly will solve a big chunk of your problems. Altough I think probably in a near future it will become obsolete but worth every penny for now…

I never (or rarely) review apps, but I just had to give a quick shout out to one of the VERY few sub-$10 apps I’ve ever purchased on my Mac. It does exactly what it says it does—and so much more that I thought I’d never use, but use constantly. It’s very infrequent that it doesn’t do exactly what you’d expect it to. The keyboard shortcuts are clutch. I could never see being productive in a multi-app, cross-referencing, or multi-tasking project on my Mac without Magnet

Very helpful

I use Magnet everyday. Snapping windows to the edges of the screen comes so naturally. Well worth the buy.

Great app but drag to snap keeps glitching out. Sometimes it blocks me from using the screen until I quit it, not sure what the problem is because it worked great before.

Windows has been doing this for years but I am SO HAPPY to finally have this on my Mac! I think it should be a standard app but for $.99 I don’t even care, best app purchase I’ve ever made!

Magnet is lightweight and does what I need it too. Usually I do a half and half vertical split but it’s just really easy to drag the window to the perimeter of the screen and have the window snap to half way. It just works with the Mac UI so well that I sometimes forget that it doesn’t come with the OS!

Quick and easy, once you get the hotkeys down (I mostly use the defaults but they are customizable) then I don’t think I will ever be able to work without this app. Plus the price is very reasonable for what you are getting.

Especially useful for me using mulltiple desktops on multple screens, especailly as a take my laptop from my home office to my work office, where I connect to identical large monitors. Everything stays put where I left it. Would love to see it snap windows into a 2x3 grid, to stick 6 windows in place, instead of a max of 4 - would be awesome on a large monitor.

Does what it says and does it well. I use it all the time to get more done on my MacBook without wasting time manually adjusting app windows. Highly recommend for any wanted to maximize their screen real estate!
