I don’t have much to say but it being awesome! I’ve used DoublePane for years but I like Magnet even better.
Probablly one of the halmarks of Windows 7 was the snap-to-grid feature. I think it’s something that a lot of people have for granted on Windows operating systems since 7 so I’m glad Magnet exists. For those of you who have not yet experienced the sheer pleasuse of “snapping” windows next to each other, I highly recommend getting this app. You will not be disappointed.
Look, it’s agreat app. Don’t think twice… stop reading other reviews… just get it… it’s worth it. What I like most about it is that it does exactly what you want it to do… orgnizes the windows in a clean way. I’m so much more productive now with it.
it works with most windows which is great and really gives the app 5 stars worth, but their are quite a few apps, like some browsers, writing apps and system apps that that it doesn’t work with for some reason. It’s not a fully global solution yet so It might not necessarily work with the programs that you want to use it for, so before buying, see if you can try it out with the apps you need it for first so you don’t get dissappointed. When it works, it’s very handy and simple to use. Great job! Looking forward to an update that makes it fully functional in all windows =)
First, let me say that this is exactly what I have been looking for in functionality for Mac OS. Having migrated from Windows years ago, the functionality provided by Magnet is the only thing I sorely miss, and it provides that beautifully. As many other people have mentioned, it’s a mystery why Apple is incapable of natively adding this function in their OS. On another note though, something I would like to see is the ability in the settings to turn on and off functions. One in particular that I do not use often, and ends up being a little annoying, is maximizing the window when dragged into the top of the screen. Having the option to turn some drag functions on and off would keep the function for people who use it, and provide the option to disable it for people like me who don’t need it (for now). Thanks for providing such a great app (especially at a discount)!
